Curated by Frederick Sanders
Through a two day intervention in the run up to May Day and Labour Day, DEADTIME II combines installation, sculpture, moving image and performance to explore digital ecologies and ecologies of the digital. Looking back to look forward, the event draws on speculative realities by dragging ritual and craft into the present, offering a hopeful approach to new technologies. Continuing its predecessor’s interest in life from death and seasonal renewal, DEADTIME II invites its audience to go below into The Crypt, burrowing into the earth and into a space of potentialities. The event hopes to become an incubator, birthing optimistic digitally assisted unknown quantities taking form through euphoria drenched pastoralism and collaborative cross pollination.
